Honorable 14.1 million residents of Gyeonggi Province,

I am Kim Jin Kyung, the Chairman of the Gyeonggido Assembly.

President Abraham Lincoln’s speech, “government of the people, by the people, for the people”, still provides us with great insights.
The same is true for the Gyeonggido Assembly. “Gyeonggi-do residents” are the reason why the Gyeonggido Assembly exists.
“The representative body of the Gyeonggi-do residents, by the Gyeonggi-do residents, for the Gyeonggi-do residents”.
This phrase best describes the purpose and direction of the Gyeonggido Assembly.
The 11th Gyeonggido Assembly will spend the next two years of its latter half following a path that aligns with these values.
 

We will listen to the voices of the residents of Gyeonggi-do.

Another way to express “the answer to every problem is in the field” is “we can find answers through communication.”
The Gyeonggido Assembly will find answers to its legislative activities from the voices of the 14.1 million residents and will stand by them through open communication.
As rising inflation and high interest rates increase the sense of crisis for the people’s livelihoods, we ask you to speak up so that the Gyeonggido Assembly can support and strengthen the lives of our residents.
Through your voices, we will find exemplary solutions that create hope.
 

We will open ways to a better future for Gyeonggi-do through governance.

The most stern order of Gyeonggi-do residents for the 11th Gyeonggido Assembly is “cooperation.” In line with the directive to create hope for Gyeonggi-do through cooperation rather than conflict, the Gyeonggido Assembly will shape the future of Gyeonggi-do based on balanced governance. In the era of accelerated changes, cooperation and coordination, rather than conflict and confrontation, are essential in creating momentum for sustainable development. The Gyeonggido Assembly will work vigorously towards the ultimate goal of the development of Gyeonggi-do and the happiness of our residents through strong governance that encompasses both the ruling and opposition parties as well as the executive branch.
